YNPN’s mission is to empower young nonprofit professionals with the skills and resources necessary to become the future leaders of a strong and vibrant St. Louis.

YNPN envisions a St. Louis where young nonprofit professionals have the resources to:
  • interact and network with each other
  • develop and improve their skills through programs and services
  • get access to professional resources

With a membership to YNPN– St. Louis, you will receive free access to our monthly programming, which includes educational luncheons and evening social events such as trivia nights, happy hours and more!  Membership is only $50, and students & AmeriCorps members qualify for a discounted rate of $25.

Club Red – American Red Cross St. Louis

WHAT IS CLUB RED?

Club Red is a dynamic group of young people who support the American Red Cross mission to provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. Whether planning social fundraising events or engaging in a community service project, these Red Cross crusaders know how to have fun while supporting the humanitarian mission of the Red Cross.
 
CLUB RED MISSION

To engage St. Louis area young professionals in support of the American Red Cross through social networking, fundraising and mission-related activities.

TENTATIVE EVENT CALENDAR:
  • November 10, 2011- Thank-A-Thon, take some time to volunteer and call donors using American Red Cross’ database of almost 6500 amazing donors to simply say “Thank You” for their generous donations this year.
  • January 2012- Fire Station Tour with Happy Hour – Take a tour of a local fire station and learn about the inner workings, meet local heroes and learn how you can protect yourself and your family from house fires. Happy Hour will follow for social/networking opportunities.
  • February 4, 2012 – Flirting With Disaster -Club Red’s largest annual event. View photos from the last event on our Flickrpage.
  • March 17, 2012– St. Patrick’s Day Run – like to run? So do we!, join the Club Red team and have fun socializing and creating awareness for the Red Cross.
  • April 22, 2012- Annual Earth Day Festival – man the Club Red booth that will create awareness.
  • April 2012– Assist for an evening at a local children’s nursery or hospital. Happy Hour to follow.
  • May 2012 – Lifesaver Awards – Celebrate every day people that take action and save the lives of fellow citizens. View past awards here.
  • May 6, 2012- Friends Asking Friends 5K Run/Walk. Like to Run?, so does Club Red! Lace up those shoes and come out for a FUNraising Run to benefit the American Red Cross.
  • June 16 2012- Pet First Aid Opportunity  - Great outdoors month, keep your pets safe! Receive a discounted price and learn how you can protect your pet.
  • July 2012- Police Station Tour with Happy Hour Learn about a local police station, take a tour and meet local heroes. Happy Hour will follow for social/networking opportunities.
  • July 22, 2012– Lifeguard Competition sponsored by the Red Cross’s aquatics department. Volunteer to help put on this great event and learn about water safety at the same time.
  • August 2012– Club Red will collaborate with other young professionals groups in the St. Louis area to host a social/fundraising event. Stay Tuned for details!
  • September 2012– CPR/First Aid class- it’s Preparedness Month, make sure you are up to date on your CPR and First Aid certifications so YOU can be prepared.
  • October 2012– Create care packages for victims of house fires or other disasters.
  • November 2012 – Fire Station Tour with Happy Hour.

JCI Metro

JCI Metro is a membership-based nonprofit organization of young active citizens ages 18 to 40 in the St. Louis Metro area who are dedicated to creating positive change. JCI members take ownership of their communities by identifying problems and creating targeted solutions to create impact. JCI provides a platform for young people to take action in the areas of health and wellness, education and economic empowerment, and sustainability.

There are about 5,000 JCI chapters in more than 100 countries around the globe. JCI members around the world are united by a shared worldview and a shared purpose. As global citizens, we all have rights and responsibilities, as well as shared goals. Through active citizenship, we embrace social responsibility and work towards goals that benefit communities worldwide. JCI members embrace new ideas, collaboration and diversity. Guided by the vision and initiative to transform their lives and the world, JCI members have the courage to address the challenges of our time.
