St. Louis is a city rich in many things – history, culture, academia and even toasted ravioli! It is also a city with more nonprofits per capita than most cities in our country. That means there are a LOT of nonprofit organizations doing really cool things to help build and sustain our St. Louis community. How would a person ever go about finding which one is the right fit for their time and talents?
Connect With a Purpose is an annual spring event that invites you to participate in one of a number of service projects happening simultaneously throughout the area. Choose from a variety of projects – creating a PSA video, doing crafts with kids, working with animals, even doing neighborhood clean-up. Each year the group of nonprofit agencies changes, and so do the service projects – it’s the perfect opportunity to get hands on and check out a new agency.
And once you’ve put in the work – it’s time to play! The service projects take place on a Saturday morning, and then all the participants from all of the projects get togther at Tower Grove Park for a barbecue. Good deeds and new friends all in the same day – talk about getting connected!
